It's all practice.

The truth is, I've been wanting to do a daily blog challenge for a while. I've even tried in years prior.

Have you ever heard of Seth Godin? Among other things, he has written a blog every day since the late '90s. I find this so inspiring and have always aspired to be that disciplined.

But it's not discipline that does it.

It's a combination of habit, lowering the bar, and knowing that it's not about the outcome but about the practice of doing it.

He writes all about it in his book, The Practice: Shipping Creative Work.

After reading this book (okay, well, most of it as I'm still savoring it), I've begun to feel even more inspired to take on this challenge.

So here I am, writing this post today.

Partly due to having created a (new) habit around doing this practice in the morning, giving myself a low bar to achieve for what counts as a "post," and being encouraged to look at the act of creating itself rather than the finished product and how it may be perceived by others.

Is there some creative project or practice that you've been sitting on writing for the "right" time to start?

Do you not feel ready yet?

Do you know that you probably never will and that it doesn't mean that you can just begin already?

I'd love to hear about what you're practicing. Tell me about it below.
