One Step at a Time

In yoga today the teacher said something that struck me.

We were moving into standing bow, which is a posture that it’s easy to rush. In an attempt to get us to move more slowly and build the foundation for the posture the teacher said:

"Just take the next step and see what happens. Make a change and then let the change happen."

How often do we try to force ourselves into a posture, a situation, a specific outcome and forget about there part where we need to also let the change happen?

Each step prepares you to take the next step. Not allowing the next step to happen on its own is like walking with only your right foot.

You can keep hopping on one foot, or you can walk with two feet. One makes it easier to move faster, while the other give you a greater chance of falling on your face.
