It's Your Healing Journey ... Don't Judge it.

In the healing journey, it's important not to judge what comes up or what progress looks like.

The journey’s never linear. It meanders around. It goes up and down. Get's better, sometimes gets worse. Repeats patterns. You learn new things about yourself. You learn to let go. You learn to grow.

It's messy.

And it's worth it.

One of the first things that can come up for someone when they begin a new chapter of their journey is that they'll start to compare it to all the previous versions of themselves and their beliefs.

But the turret is that when you're healing, you're moving into new territory entirely. Your navigational devices don't work in this new space. The things that you thought were "right" may no longer apply.

“Normal” doesn't exist when you're healing and growing. And that's okay.

It's like as if you've been lost at sea for months and months and finally make it to new land where the plants are different and you don't speak the language. Don't be scared because things are different. Notice how the people feed and clothe you anyway. Watch how you learn to adapt. Let yourself finally get a freaking good night's sleep now that you’re on dry land.

Tomorrow will bring more insights and puzzles to solve and reasons you’ve got to let go of what you once knew. So you might as well rest while you can.
