The Tincture of Time

One of my good friends was reflecting on her healing journey through a break up, saying that she knows it's just going to take time.

That's when my girlfriend said to her, "You just need to take the tincture of time."

I love this idea.

What happens when we look at time as a kind of medicine?

We so often believe that we need some kind of remedy that will save us. Something that our doctors, pharmacists, herbalists, healers, or in the worse case, advertisers, will sanction as "just the thing to sure what ails us."

But some things, like a broken heart or grief, don't have a specific plant or chemical that will save us.

(Unless, of course, you count all of the things that will numb and distract us from our pain.)

But time is a remedy that's free, can be taken anytime, and is recommended for everyone. It's best if you take it 60x an hour, or 24x a day or as many days, weeks, or years as needed.

The effective therapeutic dose is an amount that only you know.

Take as many times as needed for desired results. Of course, results may vary and several rounds may be necessary.

One of the best things about the Tincture of Time is that you can take it with other non-pharmacological methods as well.

It goes well with physical activity, meditation, creative outlets, community, and other medicinal preparations.

There's no contraindications.
