3 Ways to Start (and Stick to) a Regular Meditation Practice
/Want to meditate daily but can't seem to make it a regular practice?
Me too.
This month, I'm restarting this effort using 3 (actually 4, can you spot the last one?) tactics proven to help new habits stick.
Fresh Start: I began on the first of the month which coincided with the completion of our back porch. This is a new outdoor space that I'd love to associate with mindful self-reflection.
Something Pleasant: We tend to stick to habits with a strong sensory component. Essential oils are a perfect combination with meditation because they help bring you to the present moment AND they smell great.
Accountability: Here's my public commitment to hold myself accountable.
I'm challenging myself every day in February to sit on the porch for a few minutes with a lovely aromatic. 3 minutes minimum ... making a new habit easy also helps in sticking with them!
I'll post a picture of it in my stories each day as my accountability.
