'Why can't mornings last all day?'
/I had a call with a friend of mine the other day. It was in the afternoon and it was are the latte incident. I was in a better mood than before but was recounting to her all my frustrations from earlier in the day.
"Part of it was because I didn't get all my morning stuff done. For example, doing my writing and posting my blog. If I don't do that in the morning and leave it for the afternoon or evening it's way harder," I explained.
"I know, sometimes I think, 'If I can just do all my morning stuff for the whole day, that would be the best day,'" she replied.
Then I exclaimed: "Why can't mornings last all day?!?"
The more I've embraced my morning-person-ness and explored what activities make for the best mornings to set me up for the rest of the day, the better my days go. Hands down.
Don't get me wrong, I like the other parts of the day too. Cleaning, for example, has no business happening in my mornings. But give me a fun and thoughtful podcast (been loving Metaphysical Milkshake as of late) and some late afternoon or early evening time, and I'll organize the hell out of my books shelves and love it.
Learning my prime time of day for certain activities has been a game changer for creating my best days.
